Moonlight Challenge

Andi with his official Moonlight Challenge medal and the plaque which the Retreat's friends Lynne and Maggie made especially to commemorate this event.
A friend of the Retreat, Andi, took part in the Moonlight Challenge on the evening of 23 February 2008, to raise funds for the Retreat. The challenge was to cover a 32 mile course over multi terrain.
Andi completed 26.2 miles of the course and was only unable to complete the full distance due to time restraints placed upon him by the organisers. The weather was good, being quite mild and no rain, however there was no moonlight(!), therefore a lot of the course was run in pitch black, apart from the light provided by the runners torches. Approximately 30 people took part.
Andi set up his own fundraising page on the Just Giving website so people could sponsor him online. So far we have raised over £3,000 from both sponsor forms and online donations and we are keeping the online donation page open for a short period in the hope that further sponsorships will be received.
If you would like to belatedly sponsor Andi for his fantastic effort please go to www.justgiving.com/moonlightchallenge, also please mention this to your family and friends and ask for their support, thank you.
