The Thrift Shop isn’t just your average charity shop. It’s a big part of how The Retreat directly supports our residents. Your donations matter — thank you.
Please note: Do not leave donations when the Thrift Shop is closed. You must alert someone on-site when you leave a donation. We have had a recurring problem with people leaving donations randomly in the car park. We usually need to pay to have these donations thrown away as they get damaged by the weather. Please do not dump your donations!

Plates, bowls, mugs, and more. The lifeblood of any good charity shop!
Trinkets
Gifts, bits & bobs, knick-knacks, toys. We’ll happily take anything you no longer need, as long as it’s in a decent condition!
We are one of the very few charity shops where you can directly see your impact from donation through to sale through to the improvement of real animals’ lives. Everything we raise goes towards funding the running of the sanctuary.
Clothes
We love your old hand-me-downs, even if you don’t! We’d love your clothes, as long as they are all vegan materials.
Books
We get a lot of books, particularly vegan recipe books. But we’ll take anything you have, whether fiction to non-fiction. Everything you donate helps us support our animals!
